Default Tire and Lift help

I have a 97 2wd and was wanting to put some bigger tires on it. Currently I have 255/70R16 on 17" stock rims but was wanting to upgrade to 285/70R16 or maybe 305/70R16.

How much lift would I get by upgrading to a 285/70R16 and would it be noticeable?

Would I have any rubbing problems if I went with a 305/70R16?

Does anyone have any pictures of a 1997 with 305/70R16's?

I am also thinking about putting a 3" body lift on to make it look more like the stock 4x4's. Would a 3" lift along with bigger tires make it look like the 4x4's?

Here is my truck.

I am looking to have a finished product that looks like this.

I am wanting to do the same to my 99 F150. Mine too is a 2WD and I want to put 305 or 285 tires. Everyone has told me I need a 2'' or 3'' lift kit, I think I am going to do a 2'' leveling kit because the suspension lift is too much
