Default Tire help?

I have a 1998 F150 with p255/70r16. I was wandering what is the biggest tire I can put underneath my truck with out any major mods. I am also not sure about cranking up the T-bars, would that hurt my truck in any way?

I originally was going to lift it, but money is tight. Just looking for a cheap way to give my truck a little height and a tire that actually fills out the wheel well.

Don't over do the t-bar crank and you will be fine, 1.0-1.5 inch is O.K. you will be able to go up to a 315/75/16

And you think a lift won't rip up a truck compared to cranking the T-bars?

Lifting it keeps the A-arms level, so that there is less stress on the ball joints and steering, but that is about it. Bigger tires do enough.
