Personally. I think black replacements are way better. I just don't like the look of tinted

I've had black taillights and if you think the regular lights are inadequate for backing up, you're in for the unpleasant. I'd add a discrete backup led bar if you're going to do that. It's easy to add a relay behind the light assembly and tap into the trailer light power. But it's your money

Just tint the red part of the light , tape over the reverse lights , looks better anyway imo

Here's another from the side when mine were tinted. Keyword "were" tinted. 200 dollar ticket for tinted tail lights here in Georgia. Another problem with tinted tail lights is that if your rear ended in an accident and the person who hit you says they couldn't see your tail lights good you can be charged with the accident from what I hear. I think they look awesome but I can't fork out 200 bucks for tickets over and over

Yeah that's same with up here in vancouver, same with if you have your receiver in your hitch and get rear ended you can end up paying for some of the other persons damage.... BS

Tinted is awesome. I have mine tinted but am going to be redoing them a little lighter and adding some LED cicuitry to them for added brightness.

I have mine tinted with vht. And it's faded to more of a doctor pepper red color, witch I like. But cops in my area don't even look twice at my truck but I have seen other vehicles in my town that had tinted lights and then could tell it was sanded off later. (These wer imports and a slammed chevy on 20s) So I think it has to do with the area and what you look like and possibly your driving record. Although every time a cop pulls up behind me I start getting paranoid they are going to be the one pulling me over.
