I'm replacing my timing chain on a 2002 f150 and my stepdad is helping, he aligned the driverside cam timing marks but he spun the cam 3 full revolutions without the chain on and the crankshaft keyway was at the 12° positon. Could he have done any damage to the engine? Do i have to retime the whole engine because of his mistake?
Put the crank at 11 o'clock, then line up the marks on the chains and sprockets. Could he have done damage, technically yes... but I've spun them before and no issues.

Will i have to spin the camshaft another revolution or just line up the timing marks and will i have to put cylinder #1 at tdc?

Just put the crank at 11, like I said. All of it is based off of one revolution.... spinning one around 4 times isn't going to throw the world off kilter. Just put the crank at 11 o'clock. You'll be able to tell because your timing mark will be directly at the bottom. The line up the black (or copper) links on the chains to the mark on the crank, and the cam sprockets. Just note that if your tensioners or any other components are marked with an L or an R, the DRIVERS side is the L. If you bought side specific tensioners, this WILL need to be correct.
