The time has come
Well guys I am finally graduating high school in a week and you know what come with graduation...MONEY!!! So I am going to be doing some decent upgrades to the truck...tires, tuner, lighting, etc. But I've been looking at some tuners but I am still not sure what to buy any help is appreciated. Also what other mods should I do?
Keep the money, mods aren't worth it. Save the money, buy a house, and put it in your house. You don't want to end up like me with over 15k into a truck that might be worth half that if I'm lucky.
At least start a separate retirement fund or your money making fund. Meaning, only withdraw or use it's capitol rather, to make even more of it. Like say to purchase a fixer up home or one out of foreclosure. If you start contributing now, you'll hardly notice it missing. U-know, just invest a portion. The hardest and easiest part in that is just starting to do so. With self discipline and before you know it, you could be investing and/or developing strip malls....on the side.
Just something to think about as that's one of the ways it can/has been done.

I'm sure none of us mean to be Debbie Downer on your thread but many of us have been down this road before and many didn't listen to the more rational advice given us. lol.
If there's money to be spent, do it to replace the things that you suspect are worn or you know will need to be replaced this year.
If your tires are bad, or you know you're going to replace them, do that. If you know your Ball joints are loose, buy Moog and replace those. Sometimes the stuff that's the least fun are the most rewarding.
Some often overlooked maintenance parts are:
Ball Joints
U-joints
Serp Belt (GATOR)
Diff Oil's
Wheel Studs and Lugs
Alignment
SEM interior paint for your plastics
Oil Change
If you're going to do Mods:
SCT tuner is the only widely praised tuner. They basically all do the same functions but there's more help and more shops that do SCT than any other.
New Tires are a good investment and they look good
LED interior bulbs are the single cheapest and best thing I've done to my truck. :0)

My question is, why do you want a modded pretty truck? Just to look rich? You will attract the wrong crowd, and you may look rich but you sure won't be lol.
The way I look at it is it would be a better financial decision to go to Vegas, bet all that money on black and see the outcome instead of putting it into a truck. Or if you are old enough, put some of that money into the stock market and don't look until you fall on hard times or retire. The 1k you put in today may be worth the same in 60 years, it may be worth half that in 60 years, or you may find out you are now a multi billionaire.

thanks for the advise guys. The tires will have to be bought soon, im thinking master craft courser MXT 285/70/17. Then doing the SCT tuner and a light bar and thats probably it. But a question on the tuner. Which one? And do I have to pay for the tuner then pay more money to have someone make me some custom tunes also?
