Thank You in advance for any info that might help me repair my drivers side manual seat adjuster. My dilemma is that the manual bar at the front, bottom of the drivers seat has broken. I have tried to remove it to repair it or purchase a new one, I removed 2- 10mm bolts holding the right side of the adjuster bar (as you sit in the seat) this is where the bar broke. The left side of the adjuster bar (as you sit in the seat) has a T25 bolt, that just spins as I try to remove it. Since this being the easiest way to access or remove the adjuster bar didn't work, I figured I was going to have to take the drivers seat out completely. My problem with that is that the seat was already all the way back, and to get to the back T55 bolts I need to move the seat forward to access the T55 bolts. Since I can't move the seat I figured I would try anyway. I was able to remove the bolts in front and the back one on the right side with the seat all the way back. But the previous owner installed an aftermarket 6 CD changer under the drivers seat and positioned it where it is impossible to get to the bolt on the right without moving the seat forward. I've tried removing CD player but he must have screwed or bolted it to the floor and the only way to remove it is by taking the seat out. I have tried everything I can think of, I tried to push up the broken part of the adjuster bar that holds the seat firmly when you release the bar but cannot get enough force to unlock it. There is no stub on the broken end of the adjuster bar, it broke flush with the seat frame so I can't get vise grips or anything on it. I'm hoping someone can help me figure this out. I'm a newbie and this is my first post. Hopefully I've given enough info for you to understand my dilemma.
You might need to replace the whole seat track
To do that
You might have to hack the seat track up with a die grinder or cutoff wheel, remove the seat then mess with the T55 bolts
Plan on replacing everything you touch
I'd find and buy a good seat track at a junkyard first
