I got the headlights today. I noticed something odd about them though. Each one has four silver clips around the edges. What are these? My initial impression was that they must have been simply clamps for when the sealer was drying, but I couldn't find any info online. They don't clamp very strong and several had already fallen off when the package arrived. I'm gonna leave them on for now, as it isn't too hard to get to the headlights once they're installed, but if anyone knows what they are, let me know. Pictures of them on the truck to follow soon. You can see the two on the top in the first picture and the second pic is a closeup.

Mine had them as well, I just left them on and put in the headlights (mostly b/c it was snowing and I just wanted to get them done quick).

I had those on mine also, but I took them off. They kept wanting to fall off and one got bent and I scraped my fascia paint with it by accident, so I just chucked them in the garbage.

Freshly installed as of a couple hours ago! Huge visual improvement. Best part is they were only 94 dollars with free shipping. Cheapest I've ever seen them. Grab em while you can

Look good. Nice improvement bubba.

Question: How in the world do you afford to drive that truck in California?
I know how much gas costs me here in Kentucky and our trucks aren't exactly gas misers!
Not really wanting an answer... more of an observation.

Truck looks better none the less. Nice upgrade.

Yeah gas here sucks. Where i live, it just came down from like $4.15 during the middle of summer. Its now $3.67. Price you gotta pay to work and play.

Truck looks great. Love those lights. Planning on getting a set to match my new tails.

It helps being a college student and not having to buy my own food! But either way it is hard. There's a lot more trucks here than you might think though. At least in Southern California trucks are huge. You'd be hard pressed to take a drive where I live and not see another 97-03 f150.

Ouch, yours is even higher than mine! I got gas yesterday and it was $3.56. And if you want to pick some up I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vendor. Free, fast shipping and the lowest price I could find, what's not to like?

Thanks all around guys for the compliments. Now if I could just scrounge up some money for paint!
