Third brake light problems
My third brake light sockets seem to be "melted". Has anybody else had this issue? Water has gotten into the housing and ive had to replace bulbs many times.
+1 - AND, replace that 912 bulb with a 194 or 168-based LED, which generates practically no heat. In Atlanta traffic, you spend more time on the brake than gas, so reducing the heat will save that new connector that you'll need (probably 25 cents from a junkyard!).
I ha this prob looked like mine was melted bad. Put pic on here of it. Forgot where it is and so e say it was the worst they seen. Well to fix prob I took bulb out and painted the third Brake light black. Basically doin away with it. I do t see the need for it on my truck.
