Thinking v2
Yessir! Installed a 2TB WD drive I had lying here (not sure why, since I have the NAS, but it's there just in case), added a second fan that was also on hand, and have all (I think) my software loaded, printers installed, etc. So far, so good!
EDIT: And speaking of printers, unless there's a darned good reason, I will likely NEVER buy (or recommend) another Epson printer. As part of the new setup I installed their software suite for my WF-7820 and was prompted to upgrade the printer firmware. Immediately after the update, my aftermarket ink carts ceased to be recognized, locking up the printer until I installed "genuine Epson ink" (which is Epson tech support's only solution). F-that! I found a Redditt post detailing how to roll back the firmware, and things are back to working. No more firmware updates, and no more Epson printers for me.

BTW, are any of you Linux users? I put Linux Mint on a little PC to use on my TV, and I can't figure out mounting drives. It keeps saying it can't find /etc/fstab when I try to mount my WD MyCloud.
Can't help you on the Linux question, White.
I agree on getting a printer that uses tanks rather than cartridges. Cartridges are a racket. I have a color laser printer that does all of my heavy lifting. I refill the toner carts myself which saves a ton of cash. Occasionally one will crap out and I need to replace it. I usually by refurbs, and have have little problem.

I buy hundreds of refurb'd toner cartridges per year for work. I usually have 4 or 5 bad per year. There's a local guy that I get them through, and he just exchanges them for me if anything goes wonky.
Oh yes.... I'll need to install that. As I recall, that's the Linux version of "Disk Management" in Windows.
I don't know if it will let me "map" a drive, but I'll see. I use the term "map" because that's what I know it as in Windows.
Thanks Blue!

Screw all that...rather have one that works when needed, far more important.. I'll pay a little extra, but it's really not bad imo. Have to print quite a bit unfortunately.
Could also be that the drive is in a format that Mint doesn't recognize and won't mount it. Those tools will at least tell you if it is seeing something plugged in.
If you print a fair amount, laser and tank-based inkjet have much lower cost-per-page than traditional cart-based inkjet. Laser has the added benefit of being almost 100% waterproof (paper-dependant) right off the printer.
