I wonder if it was a Michigan issue?
I had my internet drop a few times yesterday, but not for long, maybe 20-30 minutes at a time.
Seems fine today.

And my Grandad's Simpson from when he worked for Ohio Power. I'll need the check for a date stamp one of these days on this one.

My Dad has the "M" version (and knowing him, the receipt filed away someplace).
Very cool.

Lady brought one into the office, her dad wanted her to have it. I can't recall the brand, it was old but looked new in a nice case. It definitely wasn't small, very nice ..thing of beauty. Wish I got better look at it....curious where it came from.

Gonna be a fun weekend! Planning on doing the thermostat, drop shackles and trans fluid/filter change/flush. Im going to start gathering the pieces for the e-fan next. Luckily the VDO fan on rockauto is still 61 lol.

Removing the shackles aren't as easy as you may think. I believe a 5" cut off makes quick work with those. You need that 5".

You have the 97...you should have a 10mm plug in the torque converter. Not sure if the 4R70w's had them..the E4OD's did, also had a drain plug on the pan. To bad they all didn't.

Might want to test the new stat on the stove first. Even the Motorcraft stats can stick at first.

I did check out a few videos on youtube with the drop shackles, so i hope its as straight forward as it looks, would be easier if they had the bolts on the same side LOL. Yes i think you mentioned that previously that there is a tc drain plug, that will be much easier than draining from the rad inlet. ONly tricky part would be to get the tc drain to match up with the hole in the case. Thank you for the heads up on the Tstat, i will definitely test it out.

[Q)klpUOTE=white89gt;7701882]Didn't build one of those, but I did build a variable DC power supply from scratch. I made the circuit board and everything. We had an etcher in electronics class. I designed the board on a Mac. The Microsoft OS was DOS at the time.[/QUOTE]

I sorta like making trickle supplies from doorbell Xfmrs. Using diode drops to vary the Vdc. Kids' stuff. Great fun. I did design and etch a few boards for a special pwr sup. The vendor failed. The board had to marry 5Vdc for opto electronic control with 50kv igniter voltage.
