Default thinking of buying a f150

2002 f150 supercrew,v8,4x4, 300k miles
asking $4800

newbie, upgrading from my sport trac. is this worth buying with the amount of miles? carfax(clean) says its had 3 owners, last one being a fleet vehicle registration. im not sure if the motor/trans is original or not. can i expect to get more miles from it? anything i need to look for when/if i test drive it? thanks in advance!

I wouldn't pay that much for a truck with that many miles screw that! These truck can last more miles maintained properly but who knows with 3 owners last one being a fleet vehicle I would be weary of that especially for that price

Man, I wouldn't do it. That's a lot of miles. I'd go 1,500. Not to be a low balling *****, but I can't see spending that much on anything with 300,000.

id like to get the price down that low, but its a dealer and i doubt theyd accept that. seems like they are gonna have to take a loss on that one whether they like it or not.

Wouldn't even try to low ball the price. F150s are a dime a dozen. Keep looking. You'll find a much better deal.

Add a few grand for a engine and transmission on any high milage used truck you look at in to price consideration.

It may not happen off that bat. But you don't wanna be sitting vehicleless to long.

That said itd see no more then 2.5k to 3.5k around here on that. ( Philly sub)

I found an 03' supercab lariat, Fx4 offroad, leather, 82k miles for $6400 the day after christmas. if you have a vehicle, wait and watch for a real deal, the real deals don't sit around waiting for you to find them. oh and i found that truck on autotrader and it was a dealer.
