Well, I wouldn't be afraid to give it a try.

What ...Red lol

Wet boiling of dot 3 is 284F a little higher for 4. Don't think the calipers get that hot normally. Doubt they get half that unless you have a serious problem.

I have some VHT caliper paint of the aluminum variety, but I like the finish of the Alumi-Blast. It looks closer to actual aluminum to me, I suppose. Maybe because the paint actually has aluminum in it.

Not too sure why my Buddy prefers the Cast-Blast over the aluminum color. That's why he gave them to me.

Unless you want to autocross or something, I'd give the Alimi-Blast a shot.

Waitaminute - That rating is only 250° F (not C). Eh..... Caliper paint might be the better choice.

Really don't think the heat rating is a issue. Seymour is a trusted brand.

You can probably get in there with a infrared gun and see how hot the housings get yourself.....without removing anything.

Or use a K type thermocouple for your meter and alligator clamp right to one...monitor temps while your driving/braking.

You know, with the safety margin manufacturer build into products like this, and the fact that you're not racing, Brew is probably right.

Just checking in.. It's funny how my Old Truck starts up and gives me no problems after I get a new Jeep but the Jeep starts having issues out of the gate. The fancy Smart radio died in the Jeep as soon as I brought it home. It killed the battery and now it needs a water pump.

Truck has been running like a champ. lol

My Dad owned an 85 XJ, then my Brother had a 94 Grand Cherokee. Nothing but issues with both of them.

Well, I went out after letting the F150 sit all day yesterday, and the damn A/C works again. It cycles a lot, as if it is low (I'll put the gauges on it tomorrow). I am pretty sure it has a bad pressure relief valve, it's blown twice before for real issues... and I was reading that they can become weak. That said, I'll be damned if I can see it under there. This is a really shoddy view that Ford provides.

EDIT: Anyone know if this is it? Looks like it might be in the manifold...

EDIT 2: Maybe it's this sum8itch.... All of them that I see for sale are brass though.

While I was under there, I found one of my "hacks". I found that the bottom trans line was a little more "free" to move around wherever it wanted, and at times it was making contact with the idler arm. So, I used some spark plug holders to keep it up with the other line.
