Testing Coil - Question
First time poster. I've got a 2003 F150 with a 4.6l. Got a misfire code on cylinder 6. According to the Haynes manual the coil over plug should have .55 ohms primary resistance. All my coils tested between .8 to .9, including the misfiring cylinder.
Anybody have advice on this? I'm thinking that with all 8 showing the same resistance, they must be normal for those coils. As far as I know these are factory -now 115K miles.
Thanks for any help.

Good day,
If you just want to find out if the COP is bad, swap it to another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with the COP... The coil itself may not be the cause, as the short connection between the coil and the plug will fail just like regular spark plug wires over time... When is doubt, swap it out... The boots aren't that much, and I think they should be done with the sparkers... How many miles do you have on your 03?
Cheers!!
