Temp Gauge Sensor Location
I have a water temp gauge coming to finalize my gauge pod. I've seen a few different ways to install the sensor. A few of them are showing cutting the radiator hose, which I'd rather not do. Don't we have a port somewhere that the sensor could thread in to.

Need more info. Depends upon your engine, you don't say. The answer could be yes, but you'll have to look for the empty port at the front of your intake. Essentially it's an ECT port that the ECT use to go in. However the ECT was deleted in certain power plants beginning in 99. The port still remained.
By difficulty, easiest 1rst, -
1. Empty port, incorporate your own ECT sensor.
2. Tap a coolant hose. Do this by simply adding in WATTS fittings. Most do this for a PI swap.
3. Tap the intake by thickening an area on the intake then tapping it. Usually done when adding a blower assembly.
4. Lastly, steeling info from your on board from the CHT. Your on board has the info. Manipulating that is another story. However, a tuner can.
Those were the 4 I've seen done in the past.

Mandigo.....i think I would of gone Brew's #3 option. It by far is the best add on way. This is my option with my 04 Expy 5.4 engine swap. I've already drilled and tapped the hole for my second sensor for use in my 98. You do have to be a bit careful tapping it so you don't get crazy and crack it on the hole edge. Just go slow and its thick enough for the mod, if you don't have the removable plug intake.
