Default Taking bed off

I'm lookin to take the bed off my truck to clean the frame up a little bit. It's a 2002 short-bed and was wondering if you had any tips. Or any problems I might encounter.

Day 1 Spray bed bolts with PB blaster from underneath.
Day 2 Spray bed bolts with PB Blaster from underneath.
Day 3 Spray bed bolts again.
Unplug tail light harness at rear frame drivers side.
Unscrew the retaining screws that hold the fuel filler inplace and the hose clamp from underneath that holds the fuel neck to the box
Remove tail gate
Remove rear bumper
Unscrew the torx screws.
I used an engine crane with nylon straps secured at all four inner corners.
Off she came.

This worked for me and made it real easy.

Alright thanks for the tips. I've already sprayed it with stuff to loosen up the bolts. I figured that would be a good idea. Thanks for the other tips

Default takin bed off

save urself a whole lot of time and just grind the heads off the bolts in the bed. then when everything is disconnected lift the bed off. for the price off a few bolts at your local tractor supply, saving the time messing around trying to get them off is worth it.

Make sure you rust proof the bed crossmembers, or you will end up with a bed like mine (stupid PO)
