Hey guys, I tried to search for this but I didn't really find anything.

I'm trying to remove my tailgate so I can repair some rust along the bottom of it. I read in the owners manual that you unclip the cables and lift the gate to a 45 degree angle and pull. Well I did that and I can only remove the passenger side, it seems like the drivers side slides off, but no matter how hard I try to pull and wiggle it just wont work.

So, am I missing something here, or am I not trying hard enough?

 

get the pass side off and slide the tailgate to the right. the hinge on the left side is just round and needs to be slid off the side

 

Thanks, thats what I was trying. I just needed to pry it off a little, it was really stuck on there!
