Question Tachometer install (REALLY NEED HELP)

I bought the Sunpro Super tach II, 3 -3/8" one. I read that you want to use pin #48 on the PCM. Well I drilled the hole out, and put the wire in and tested it and the tach barely moved. Im hoping that is was because I didnt have the crimp fitting like all the other PCM pins do.

My question: Where can I buy A(1) PCM pin? Autozone, napa??

Also is there another wire that I could splice into and get an ACCURATE reading without any converters or fancy shi*??

Thanks, and sorry for the rant.
