Default T-Bars Cranked

Getting ready to crank the T-bars on my 97 F150 4X4 and going to go with the Beilstien shocks. Should the 4600 series be used or the 5100 ? I don't know what kind of height will be gained from the T-bars
Thanks

DONT crank your tbars so that the distance from the center of the hub to the top of the fender is more than 24.25". If you go higher say goodbye to your front end

Are you saying that a mild lift kit would be better ? I only want a couple inches more height

are you looking for height or wanting to add bigger tires? Tbars cranked to 24.25" can allow for 33s with some mild trimming to the front valence. My tbars are at 24" and a 3" BL and I have 34.5s with no trimming needed. Either way you'll get some height adding bigger tires

BL is cheap way to lift but doesn't help with off road capabilities just lets you stuff bigger tires under the truck. Suspension lift is expensive but is the proper way to lift as most will say and you don't need your tbars cranked. Don't cheap out on the suspension lift tho it's not worth the risk.

I will be taking my truck hunting and the suspension life of even a few inches will make things better.

You can probably get about 2" out of the front end staying within 24.25"

Then you could throw some 3" blocks in the back to replace the factory 2" blocks.

It'll give you a small boost for the price of the blocks and an alignment after.

well if you don't wanna drop a ton of money go for a BL and tires, that should be plenty for hunting I don't have any problems getting to any of my spots

Just remember a body lift just lifts the body, your frame and all that stays stock height.

As far as shocks, go for the 5100 series, that's what everyone likes around here.

Stock shocks will work fine so any shock that fits the truck will work
