Default Switching tire size

Hey guys. I have a 2000 F150 XLT extended cab 4x4 with the short flared box and towing package. The truck came with 255-70-16 tires and was wondering how tall I could go before I had any problems. Some places I looked for tires said they wouldnt recommend going bigger as it could cause me problems, and I had one tech from Ford tell me 265's would be fine, but he didnt say he did so on his own vehicle. I am looking at 265-75-16, does anyone forsee any problems with transmission, etc... I haven't really changed anything from stock on this truck since I had it new. I appreciate any and all input. Thanks!!
