Of course with the newer trucks most are almost allwheel drive anyways even though they say 4x4 with the newer technology. They fly around town where the limits may be 40, and blow by you if you are going the speedlimit. So the question of who drives 60 in the snow, Alaskan Drivers. lol

Note: The reason Ford gives 45 for a top speed to engage the t/case, is that the electric shift motor doesn't go faster in rpm's than the speed. So if you try and shift it in at a faster rate, you may be able to, but I'm sure you will tear up either the motor or the gear it engages. I'd slow down to 45 to shift in, then you can run 60 all day.
Good tips but this is from 07. Odds are good many of these guys don't have their 10th gens.

I didn't even look at the year. This came up yesterday as a new link on my page, so I answered the question. I wonder why it was on the feed. Hmm. Cue the Twilight Zone tune.

If you are doing 60 P.H. in the Snow & Ice. Ice comes with Snow..you are asking for Trouble. 2 Wheek-4 Wheel it wont matter.
4 Wheel drive for a none experienced driver is a False sense of security. Season Drivers can also make the wrong decision
Like the Man said here in Colorado Mountains the roads change fast.
You my be going at a high rate of Speed when that Icy or Dry spot shows up. You just ended up in Clear Creek & your body shuts down. It happens every winter.
I can't tell you how many 4 Wheel Drives you see on I-70 in the Colorado mountains that have Flipped & Rolled Over & Over driving too fast and out of control.
Just slow down and save a trip in a Helicopter you won't remember.
