Default swapping a engine

So in the future I am thinking about dropping a more modern 5.4L in my truck, to get more power and a engine with less miles, I was curious if a newer 5.4L from the late 2000's is a direct bolt in or will I need new motor mounts along with replacing the transmission?

The motor will bolt right up might have to change your flex plate/flywheel an if u have a 5.4 already every thing else it the same there are some Lil odds an ends but nothing serious

There's a lot more to it than that if you're planning on putting a 5.4l 3v in. You'll need the PCM and engine harness at the very least as well as probably the trans and trans harness possibly lines and radiator. I honestly don't know specifics, just that it won't be very easy and you'll need a step-by-step you can probably find on Google.
