You would think a 60-year-old guy would have more sense than to hammer someone when asking for help. The reading of the question was weird. Also, we don't have right wing or left wing. We have Ford people. Keep the RW talking points to yourself.

I'm sorry, but you just upset a bunch of the guys who have your answers. To get good help now would be almost impossible here without some kind of change in your attitude. The answers to your questions are not hard to give, but with your attitude, it's not going to happen., You might want to apologize and see if you will get some help. As it goes right now, you have little going for you,

With akdoggie's benevolence in mind, no, the engine won't work. 97\98 only work in 97\98 trucks. You have to be careful with what the new engine comes out of also. Other vehicles used the 4.2 but with different bellhousing patterns.

Glad to see you can put grammatically correct sentences together. A moron makes it tough for others to help him when he asks questions no one can understand due to poor sentence structure/ punctuation and expects hand fed solutions. If we can't understand what you're asking, we can't help... Hence the add grammar remark. But sounds like someone pissed in your Cheerios and you've never gotten over it. Buh bye.

Also since I like poking the bear.... wouldn't you be the "lybturd" snowflake since you got so angry when someone asked you to form a proper sentence so they can help you? Seems awfully soft skinned to me

Alright I'm outta here. Good luck with your problems.

Thank you for the link. Was searching for credible engine swaps. Have a 4.2l 98 with 230k that decided it wanted to start leaking from the water pump. Haven't got into the engine yet, oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil. No cranks found. So I am shopping for option.
Considering a rebuild of the engine and transmission, along with the front and rear suspension.
Morale of the story? No matter how useless over dramatic post. Someone always gives out great advice.
