this may sound different than what most people do but i have a 2001 f150 with a 5.4 and was wondering what was needed to swap to a 4.6 or to see if everything is just plug in play please let me know

 

Well that's a new one. I'm guessing your 5.4 is shot and there's a 4.6 somewhere close that is good to go. For what it's worth, I'd keep looking for a 5.4 L as there are plenty out there. The swap can be done be, it's not all plug and play but it's not hard. TheJMC has done the 4.6 to 5.4 swap and can probably be more help.

i was just wondering in case it becomes an option but i have two 5.4s one needing an oil pump and one needing a head gasket i just havent been having the best of luck with the 5.4
