Default Suspension questions

For a 2WD truck, what's the difference between Lightning, Harley, and regular suspensions in terms of springs and swaybars. I have a '03 Screw and would like to do some cheap suspension upgrades.

I would guess, and don't quite me on this one, that the lightning has some sort of lowering spring on it because they sit pretty low to the ground as it is and have some sort of smoother away bar. What exactly is your goal for the suspension of your truck are you looking to lower it?

L's have a rear sway bar factory (not sure about the HD's) and they have softer leafs that give them a bit of drop. anywhere from 1"-2" i believe. as for front coils, they may be a an inch or so of drop compared to regular f150's.

Tell us what you're exactly looking to do with your truck so we can better help you

I have to ask and I'm sure I'll kick my self in the *** when I hear the answer but why do you call your truck a SCREW?

Right now I'm just exploring options as far as suspension goes. There are a couple of local Craiglist ads for HD and Lightning suspension parts for dirt cheap prices. I'm looking to lower/level the truck a bit and weighing that against any loss in towing capacity so mixing and matching from the OEM parts bin is intriguing. I may be towing a race car (compact car) on an 2-axle open trailer.

I'm particularly interested in swaybar diameters.
