Default Surprised myself...

Took my truck along a sandy riverside trail when I was faced with a steep rocky section with a wheel-catching drainage gully across it... It was a 50/50 deal between backing up about half a mile and going the climb a shot. I should point out that I have never off-roaded before and that my truck only has 20k miles on it so I try to take especially good care of it. I figured "what the hell" and went for it... Probably should have used 4wd but even in 2wd the truck scrambled up with relative ease with only slight wheelspin. I checked around the truck to make sure nothing had grounded out or was scraped and it was perfect!
Moral of the story, I'm thoroughly impressed with how well a stock full-size truck off-roads! I'm sure I could get used to doing that more in the future

I was suprised the first time I took mine through heavy mud. Its tires are bald and I figured that where most other 4x4s got stuck so would I, but I didn't. I was going to baby it, but it took me a week to get over the idea. Not that I'm trying to break it or anything.

same thing happened to me!! i think the supercrew's weight distribution is extremely good(I think) which in combination with some fairly almost decent all terrains ive been through some nasty stuff. Not to mention when I got some brand new all terrains I went through some CRAZY stuff that my truck never deserved to go through!

I was crawling through mud Sunday, and only had to pop it into 4x4 for two small sections. Nearly new GY Wranglers... My buddy was asking why I was taking it so slow, its because it's the biggest vehicle I've owned, and I didn't want to scratch her up on tree branches on the narrow trail.

The long wheelbases of these trucks make them easy to keep straight in the mud and are quite good at hill climbing. Plus once the truck is moving it pretty easy to keep going. Biggest issue I run into is break over angle' but that can be fixed with a lift
