Supercrew T bars or leveling kit
Been thinking about leveling the truck out so I looked into a leveling kit but people said that it was bad for suspension and the best thing to do is cranking the torsion bars but then people said that that's bad so I should get a leveling kit. My truck is an 03 supercrew lariat 4x4 5.4 with 265s with 17 inch stock rims so all I need is to level it out but someone tell me what to do.
You need to read a few more links. this subject has been talked about countless times on this forum. doesn't matter whether or not its cranking stock keys or adding after market keys, as long as the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender does not exceed 24.75 inches its fine. anything over that is what messes with your suspension geometry and you'll fry your cv's and ball joints. you are fine other then that. however i may add cranking stock keys is easier and requires no removal of the old key which requires a special tool.

yes, 24.5 inches is level. just do not exceed 24.75 and it really doesnt matter, but why buy keys when you can just turn yours up? they really arent a whole lot different. but I would just use the stock keys,
OP: Know that after each adjustment, you'll need to move the truck and flex the suspension to allow it to "settle, " then re-measure and make further adjustments if needed. Afer a few days of driving, measure again and tweak as required.
EDIT: And yes, try adjusting your stock keys first. If you're unable to gain the required amount of lift, then you will need to look at aftermarket ones.

False. Leaf spring sag has a huge amount of factor in what is level. A truck that never pulled a load or had anything in the bed is going to be higher in the back than a truck that constantly had the leaf springs being compressed down. Also spring sag. One side may be higher than the other, it's not uncommon. There is NO magical "leveled" measurement across all of, or dare I say most trucks.

If I end up having sag on one side should I level out each side to its respected back side? I am trying to get 35" soon and I am trying to do it all within a weeks time the cranking, driving to let settle, re-cranking if necessary then throw the tires on and get an alignment
