Default suggestions please

Hi I am new here I have 98 F150 XLT 4.6 with just over 105,000 miles on the clock. She still runs great but is riding really rough, other than shocks what else should I be looking for. Also I have had this annoying vibration that is noticeable at around 70 MPH and lately it has gotten worse. I bought the truck new and it has always been there but didn't bother me until lately. Any thoughts on what that might be. And last but not least I have been thinking about getting rid of the truck and getting something else but when I look at the price of a new vehicle I start thinking about putting money into the truck. I wonder what I could do with 8 to 10 grand, it could be fun. So the big question is if it was your truck and had this budget what would be your list of improvements that are street oriented.

That's not very many miles for a 4.6. I just got rid of my 1980 that had 252,000 miles and was still running good. The vibration is probably the tires. Out of balance and/or out of round. If they're old, they can be dried out enogh to do that.

have you checked the rods, pitman arm, Idler arm. Had to replace those on mine around 100000 miles... when the pitman arm was going I had a high speed vibration...
