Default sub placement

I have a 1997 supercab and i can't decide where to put a sub box, i would imagine under the seat but there is not a lot of clearance.

does anybody have photos of your sub placement?

I have a single 12 that I've tried just about everywhere in my 98 and the best place I've found is sitting on the back seat unless you find a custom box or build one for under the back seat

It all depends on the needs of the sub itself. I have custom made box for my rockford p3 and it takes up the area where the small jump seat is.

Ok your fix isnt that bad. You can get a custom box cheap on ebay and if your sub needs an inch or two extra then lift your back seat. There are kits for that as well.

I have 2 10" subs under my back seats. I bought an enclosure that was made to fit underneath the back seats and some low clearance subs. if you want pics, just post a reply. just a warning, say goodbye to that storage space.

The 97-98 trucks its a lot harder to put subs under the rear seat as the rear seat fold down not up. Also there is a 1.5" difference of clearance. I would actually like to see how hard it would be to do a rear seat swap using 99-03 rear seats.
