Default stuttering problem

I have a 1999 F150 with 4.6 2 wheel drive automatic trans. Since i bought the truck is has been giving me problems with the drive ability. It started out in 4th gear over drive when i were to accelerate the truck would stutter and choke like it wasnt getting fuel, then it progressed into that and when i were to try to do a hard acceleration in any gear it would hesitate and then straighten out. Now it stutters in all gears and idle runs like crap lol no codes are thrown. All tho previously i had a egr code thrown and i fixed that but it hasnt done anything with my stutter problem. If anyone could help me out im pulling my hair out here!!!!!

i would start with basic maintenance such as changing the spark plugs, could be a misfire even without a code
