Default Stuck in 4wd

Tried reverse natural brake replaced 2 siliode on fire wall anyone know someone in Seattle area that can fix this 1997

You can disengage the front axle at the axle if need be...it would at least be drivable without repercussions. Then you should troubleshoot, the first vid above would be a good start.

There's been more than a few of these trucks that when stuck in 4whd, removing the shift motor then reinstalling it again seems to cure the problem. Go through the diagnostics, not much to the 4wd systems in these trucks, you can narrow the problem down quickly.

Does the 4wd light remain illuminated in 2wd ? If so, it's most likley shift motor or GEM.
