Ok so.... My alternator according to oreillys test machine is in good working order. But when put on my truck, it doesn't produce any voltage at all.... So i demand a new one again? This is my second alternator.

there is a small inline fuse on the passenger side firewall in the engine bay...its the exciter voltage fuse for your alt. check that.

Actually we did and it was burned to all hell inside... we ended up replacing it with just a regular inline fuse holder and a 15 amp fuse.... Anymore ideas on that? Maybe we did it wrong... Wiring diagrams would be great.

Do a continuity check...if it was burnt as hell it might have fried the wire somewhere.

Thats the thing... We checked the voltage at oreillys when the machine was testing it... and it was fine. But when we put it back into the truck... No voltage what so ever...
