Default Step bars

I was given a set of Dee Zee universal step bars for a regular cab truck. I have a 97 F150 regular cab, and not to sound simple, but I'm not sure where exactly they mount, and what is the right bracket. Every other set of step bars I've seen, have used the cab mounts to attach. Any advise would be great, thanks.

These get screwed in to your under rocker panels and your fender wells. I used to install these all the time. Unless you are fond of screwing things to the body of your truck, get rid of em. They aren't sturdy either, do you have the directions?

No, none. My brother bought them years ago to put on another truck, but the truck got sold before they were mounted so I just have the bars, bolts and brackets

Yeah, you have the ones that need to be screwed into your body panel with about 100 SCREWS, seriously they aren't worth it. They are weak, cheaply made and thought out. and in my opinion look tacky. Trust me take them to the scrap yard and get some money out of em for the aluminum and never look back.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm glad I asked before I wasted a bunch of time on them
