Default Steering column smoke

So earlier when I turned my blinker on it wasn't really working and eventually the other blinker came on and it was being just generally weird and eventually smoke started to come out of the steering column, advise?

Take the covers off and look around for burnt wires, etc. If you have tilt, maybe a wire somehow became pinched. Might even be internal in the multi-function switch. If you are relatively good mechanically, the multi-function switch can be taken apart and cleaned up to work like new again (should it be the problem).

Sounds like my old Triumph Spitfire. But that’s just typical British car electrical parts. LOL
