Default Static in radio

I put in an aftermarket radio in my 98 f150, and now i get major static coming through all radio stations. I put back in the stock and they came through clear. After that i took it to a sound place and when they hooked it up it did the same thing. Is there something wrong with my radio or is there something im missing with the truck

If they hooked it up out of the truck and there was still static it's clearly the radio and not the truck.

My mistake. Hard to tell from your sentence structure.

If they hooked it up to the truck and there was no static you must have not had the antenna plugged in all the way or the area you were in had bad reception.

So does it work now or not?

Have them test it out of the truck.

Was the motor running when they tested it? Sometimes old coil wires will interfere with reception.
