Starting Problems
Hello all, I've got a 2002 F150 with the 4.6l Triton in it. 2WD.
I've got a small starting problem. Battery is less than six months old, cables appear to be corrosion free and the terminals are less than six months old as well- and they're on there tight.
I notice that the problem mostly only occurs when I have the A/C turned on prior to starting the truck, and it tries to crank but I may either have to try four or five times before it will fire up, or I may have to try it a few times and then turn off the A/C and then it will fire up.
After checking the battery and the alternator, what should I check next?

I have the same problem. I took my truck to a local mechanic two weeks ago and they indicated they had fixed the problem. I hadn't used the AC until today, and again it happened.
Could anyone please advise?
Thank you.
