Default Starting Problems

'97 Ford F150 (5.4) with starting problems. Tried searching other forums but nothing seem to match right up! When I try to start the truck I will only get one click and nothing more. Everything else works and I tried replacing the battery, starter solenoid, and cleaned the terminals resulting in no changes. I did not try the starter because it would likely turnover a couple times, but... any ideas?

well one way to test the starter is to hit it with a hammer a couple of times and then have someone try to start the truck if starts then more than likely your going to have to change the starter but you could alway check your relays as well cause it could be restricting the proper amount of power to your starter
