I had the same problem until today I fixed it, I believe you have the same problem I had and its a easy fix go down to autozone and buy a bottle Lucas fuel injector cleaner put about $20 worth of gas and the recommended amount I bout the smallest bottle and used half of it for $20 worth of gas, I drove around for a while sometimes stepping on it and the ticking stopped see if that works and let me know

Piece of trash or carbon in the valve lifter maybe, Txusbo is right. I like to use Lucas upper Cylinder Lubricant, it has freed many tapping valve lifters and it won't hurt anything. The upper cylinder lubricant is the same as the small bottle "injector cleaner" but you get a quart for $9.99 and it treats about 6 tanks of gasoline so it is a lot cheaper. You can overdose without harming the engine. I use it in all four of my vehicles and they all run great. In fact my engines seem to be addicted to the stuff.

i have the same problem and i know it aint a loose plug cause it dont do it when revving in park or neutral, when i got the truck it had a "punisher performance" chip thing wired into the air temp sensor. i took it off today and floored the thing, and i couldn't hear it anymore, i didnt drive it much today so that mita fixed it or maybe not

I have this same noise!
Its under moderate to heavy acceleration, to me sounds like it is from the (looking at the motor from front side) drivers side rear of the engine. I really dont think it is a internal engine noise, but rather an external rattle caused by a certain load and RPM range.
I may be able to capture it via my camera and upload it to Youtube. If so maybe this will help solve the issue?

Do a search and you'll find Zmax has had a couple lawsuits because their product does nothing. I wouldn't touch that stuff with a ten foot pole. Lucas Upper cylinder like said above can help if it's a lifter or valve.
