stalling?? PLEASE HELP!!
i have a 200 f150 4.6 tritan..automatic..
and sometimes when im at a light.. and when i begin to acclerate...
the car will choke and accelerate very roughly.. and sometimes it will completly stall out...
the shop i took it to said it was something in the transmission..
i have alot of experience being a "driveway mechanic" and have alot under belt from oil changes to motor swaps..
but most of my work has been on mid 80's to early 90's european cars (mostly BMW's)
so with a newer car like my truck i am a little more skeptical about what to do..
my previous experience leads me to believe that the rough idle and stalling would be due to a fuel related issue..
i have never really worked on american cars (especialy ones this young)
please help me!
