Default Squeaky steering

Hey Guys,

My 97 (225K Mile) 4x4 has had some serious squeaks lately. Over the past few weeks I have replaced my shocks, upper control arms, sway bar connectors, lower ball joints, and all tie rod ends with Moog products. Despite all my efforts, I still have some squeaking when I turn L and R. Pretty sure its not the power steering pump. Sounds like its coming from underneath. Any ideas on where to go next? Thanks!

Lower control arm bushings? Wheel bearing? Pitman arm? Idler arm? Just some possible culprits.

yea at 225k I'd check lower CA bushings. Your sway bar itself also has bushings it sits in, I would check those as well. And if it is your power steering pump, youd probably know, that will squeak with RPMs, meaning, when go through your gears it will sound worse as you push the engine, because the PS pump[ is belt driven.

I'd bet it's the ball joints. Did you use serviceable joints? Did they get greased? I've heard of people using a needle greaser to get at the non-serviceable joints with success.

This is a needle greaser if'n you hadn't heard of it.
