speedo wigging out

well yestdday i was doing 67 (according to edge evo) down the freeway and when i looked down my speedo was doing a dance between 60-70. anyone know whats causing this

It could be the vehicle speed sensor or the connection on it, should be a two wire sensor on the side of the trans.
