Well speedometer started jumping then went out completely. I asked my mechanic and he said it was the sensor and showed me where it was located on the output shaft at the rear of the tranny. I have a 2000 F-150 5.4 4x4 with a 4R70W trans. When I got back to my truck I pulled the old one. The part number on the one i pulled out is xr3r-7h103-AA Ford with one black rubber gasket. I guess my question is why cant i find one of these online. Ive tried all over and none that ive found look like it. Any advice would be great. Thank yall in advance.

 

I pulled the sensor from my dads truck to see what would happen... the answer is nothing. My speedo resets after i reconnect the battery with the rest of my gauges, running to the maximum then back to zero but i am getting no reading in drive or reverse. I put my sensor in his truck just to see and it works just fine. So what else could my problem be?
