X2. These engines are notorious for spitting plugs. Anti-Seize increases the risk.

I don't think there is evidence of that being true. I use anti-seize on every plug change. I believe if you torque to 28 ft lbs there would not be a problem either way. Just dont over apply anti-seize.

It's because anti-seize modifies the actual torque applied to the plug, say you applied 28ft lbs to a anti seized plug, you run the risk of over torquing the plug due to the anti seize acting as a lube, or even worse run the risk of the plug losing torque due to the anti-seize and backing out shooting the plug and COP sky high.. I'm sure there is evidence to back up the fact that anti seize is not required nor recommends on the 2Vs with the correct plugs of course. "Just don't over apply" should read "just don't apply at all"

Your just repeating what you have "heard". If there where facts to support your "opinion" you and others would gladly find them and prove me wrong. But they do not exist, just Bubba heard that his cousins sisters girlfriend blew out all eight plugs at the same time because anti-seize was used. Simply not true. NEVER tell me what I should write!

He's just saying the threads are nickel plated so they don't need antiseize because they won't corrode to aluminum.

I'm pretty good at understanding what people write but thanks for clarifying. So both of you are assuming everyone is buying the correct motorcraft plug for this vehicle. Not all spark plugs are nickel plated. All I'm saying is it may not be beneficial but the other hand it's not harmful either.

well most people on here tell them to get motorcrafts or NGKS ( I believe that's what the are ) or they'll have problems and have to redo them. Most people don't want to redo them so they get the oe plugs to be safe.

Nope. Just stating the truth while you vomit opinions. Nothing to do with big emojis.
