Spark Plugs 97' F-150 4.6L; Normal or breakable?

It wouldn't be a bad idea, however, to blow some compressed air down in the holes to get any debris out. Anything that happens to be in there will fall right into the cylinder.

Oh yea, getting a little mirror-on-a-stick and some more canned air for exactly that purpose (wish I had a place to store a compressor...). I've seen a half decent amount of gunk built up when I was changing plug wires so will be making sure everything is cleaned up enough to not get dirt where it really shouldn't go.

So I got it out and have to say that was one of the more unpleasant places on my truck to work on to date; that is to say if I ever meet the designer who shoved the engine under the dash I might have to give em a swift kick somewhere sensitive...
That being said, the new plug went in without too much grief (relatively speaking) but the well was filthy. Even after cleaning it out there was some grit on the old plug threads and I had to clean the new plug each time I borked up getting it threaded in right (really tried to avoid cross threading and I think I got it). On a scale of : 'you should reaaaaaly redo it' to 'I wouldn't worry too much about it' how bad would a little bit of grit be if it got into the cylinder as I can't guarantee a little bit didn't sneak its way in. Pretty sure the stuff I was seeing was just a bit of leftover cause the anti-seize is sticky as heck but figured better safe than sorry before turning the engine over.
