Has any one done a spark plug threaded inserts for the short style threads? Wanting to do all on my truck since the heads are off.

 

Might be better off getting new heads with 8 threads like on the 03 5.4's. Might run about the same.

I personally wouldn't worry about doing the timeserts on all of them. Put the plugs in and torque to 28ft pounds. They will not come out. Not all trucks blow them out.

 

I had the number 3 blow out on my old heads found some heads in a junk yard out of a 98 had a three angle valve job done to them. The shop asked me I wanted them done I figure for the price of them to do it, it was to much. Thought about doing them myself but the kit to do them was about the same if I had them do it.
