Default Spark Plug replacement

I am in the process of doing a tune up on my truck. I am going to be replacing my spark plugs next weekend, but when I looked under the hood i couldn't find the plug cables to get to the plugs. Does anyone know where the plugs are and how to get to them?

There are no plug wire on your truck. It has a coil on plug design, which means that there is a coil for each plug, on the plug. The coils and plugs are located on top of the motor, just inside the valve covers, right in line with the fuel injectors. The coils have round tops with a small bolt holding them to the engine.

Hope this helps.

Keep in mind as well that (at least on the 5.4's) you will need a socket with a swivel made into it to reach the plugs. When you change the plugs i would change the boots on the coils as well. The plugs are a bear to get to but it can be done.
