It's the thread in the head, not the threads of the plugs that's the problem. Also, platinum has nothing to do with rust, it's got to do with the electrode and it's conductivity (vs. standard steel or copper).

Hmm well we will see how easy they come out this saturday. Im doing the frame swap then and I will have the engine out
