What do I need to do to get a spare ignition key? Is this something only a dealership can provide?

 

if it has the chip then you can get them from your local locksmith, usually. Find one on ebay and then have the locksmith code it for you, or go to the dealer. Some hardwarde stores now have the capability to make these.

 

Does anyone know how much they cost?

 

i got a PATS key made for my crown vic & it was only like $20 from the dealer.
