sometimes will start help

Default sometimes will start help

Ok guys need your help again . I have 98 f150 has 343k miles and runs good. sometimes when i go start it it will not turn over acts like a dead battery/ or weak starter it would engage starter barley. So far i have replace the battery,starter and cylniod. i check all the connects they seem to be fine.The way i get it started i will switch the key back and fourth a few times then is will start.

Have you checked the alternator?

That sounds like a bad connection to me. There is the main power wire, I would check that to make sure you have a really good connection. I would also make sure there is no heavy corrosion on the battery terminals and the main power terminals on the firewall.

If all these check out, it could be you got a faulty starter. Not common if you bought a new one but more common on a reman starter.
