Some Screw electrical problems
Hey all,
So after I installed my Troyer E-Fan kit, I turned on my truck and found I had the following issues:
- Windshield wipers won't turn on, but sprayers work fine
- Horn won't work
- AC won't turn on
- Cruise control won't work
The e-fans use the radio's power supply as the signal wire to allow them to turn on, while a switch in the cab actually turns them on.
When I saw the things that weren't working, I disconnected the e-fans from the truck to see if that changed anything. It didn't.
Now, I'm pretty sure that I managed to knock an electrical connection harness loose somewhere during the install of the fans, but I didn't see anything on a cursory inspection. Does anyone know where I should look?
And before anyone asks, I did check every fuse with a voltmeter to make sure none of them were blown.
Also, I'm pretty sure these are all connected to the same issue because I had just driven from Cali to Vegas and back where I used all those functions at one time or another.
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
TL;DR: Wipers, AC, horn, Cruise control not working after E-Fan install. Help please.

Actually, it turned out to be one of the ground connections on the firewall was loose. I don't remember which one specifically, but after I tightened them all down, the problem disappeared.
And wiring the signal wire to the battery is a bad idea, because if I forget to manually switch off the fans after I exit my truck, they would keep running and the battery would be drained.
