Well I was on my way home from running some errands when I hear a strange noise under the hood. All of a sudden I lost my power steering, and my battery light came on. I had a pretty good idea what it was and I limped it the last 200 feet or so to my driveway. Shut the truck off and popped the hood to see my serpentine belt shredded. Spent the better part of an hour out in the heat trying to unravel all the remaining pieces from around my pulleys and fan clutch before I said screw it. Towed it to a place down the street that has done work on my S10 and paid them to deal with it. $130 in parts and labor later.... Way more than I really wanted to shell out for such a relatively easy pair but sitting here in the air conditioner while someone else deals with is is priceless. Should have the truck back in about 45 minutes.

On a brighter note, I got my upper and lower ball joints done yesterday... Nice to finally have a tight steering wheel.

 

Man thats expensive for a belt replacement.. good thing it wasnt nothing major. And yeah the ac part is priceless lol..
